Additionally, this presentation addresses the implementation of Trauma-Informed Care in the classroom environment and the importance of self-care for educators.
By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Identify 2 ways in which trauma effects the young child’s brain development and 2 ways in which trauma may manifest in young children’s behavior
2. Describe what Trauma-Informed Care is and explain 2 trauma-informed strategies that they can implement to support the children in their care
3. Explain the potential impacts of caring for children who have experienced trauma on themselves, and will identify 2 ways that they can engage in self-care to avoid burnout
