Broward County School Readiness Provider Rate Increase
We are pleased to announce that the Florida Legislature and Governor DeSantis approved an additional $50 million to be spent to reduce the differences in School Readiness (SR) reimbursement rates across the state. The new reimbursement rates, effective January 1, 2021, prioritized Infants/Special Needs, Toddlers and 2-Year-olds care levels while also raising the reimbursement rates for 3-, 4-, and 5-Year-olds.
ELC Broward staff are working swiftly to implement these changes. We will apply this rate increase to the upcoming February payment for January services for those child care businesses who qualified for the increases, based on their private pay rates.

Your Provider Relations Representative will be contacting you in the coming days to amend your School Readiness contract to reflect this new increase. If you have any questions about how these targeted rate increases could potentially positively affect your business, please ask your Provider Relations Representative at that time.
Please join us in thanking Governor DeSantis and your local legislator for their support of our early learning programs.
