Instructor Disaster Relief Payments

We're excited to share this great and urgent news from the Division of Early Learning (formerly the Office of Early Learning). You may have already received this information directly from DEL, but we wanted to ensure you were aware of this amazing opportunity.

Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature authorized two qualified disaster relief payments to child care and early learning directors and instructors affected by COVID in Specific Appropriation #80B of the 2021-22 General Appropriations Act (GAA) (Chapter 2021-036, Laws of Florida). This funding is CRSSA federal funding that the State of Florida has authorized to be used for instructor disaster relief payments. These payments are provided to qualified instructors in recognition of their continuing service and dedication to Florida’s children and families.

Each Director, should've receive an email invitation from Donotreply_disasterrelief@oel.myflorida.com
to access the online portal to verify the eligibility of your instructors by Friday, August 6, 2021.

These payments will go to individuals who are employed as a child care or early learning instructor as of July 1, 2021.

Child care and early learning instructor must be:

Employed as of July 1, 2021, at a private child care, early learning center, or family child care home;
Employed at the time you submit the application; and
Assigned to a classroom, full-time or part-time.

If you did not receive an invite by Wednesday, July 7, 2021, please email disasterrelief@oel.myflorida.com or call toll-free at 1-833-258-6735.

In order to ensure that these disaster relief payments can be timely provided, information must be submitted by Friday, August 6, 2021.
