Kids in Motion is seeking a part time counselor to join our energetic, fast paced aftercare team.    You will be responsible assisting in the supervision and management of a group in accord with the goals and curriculum plan of the Kids in Motion Aftercare. The principal duties of a counselor include but are not limited to: Gathering of all supplies for activities, assisting coordinator on carrying out lessons, ensuring the safety and well being of the children, maintaining regular communication, and contributing to the overall operation of the center. Personal Qualities Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of school-aged children. Must have a warm and supportive attitude toward children. Must be reliable. Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program or work schedules. Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance. Must have a love for children. Most of all must have a commitment to teaching. Job Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience: You are required to have required DCF 45 hours, or willing to start child care training.
