Focusing Children’s Attention: Instructional Learning Formats in Pre-K
About the Event
Please contact elcbtraining@elcbroward.org if you have questions or need assistance.
Classrooms function best when children consistently have things to do, are interested in the activities provided for them, and are active participants in the learning experience. In this training, we will explore how educators can facilitate activities and provide interesting materials so that students are engaged and learning activities are maximized. Participants will review components of the Pre-K CLASS tool with a focus on Instructional Learning Formats, gain tools to increase student engagement throughout their day, and find ways to directly apply new strategies to their daily practice.
By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Describe why Classroom Organization is important
2. Discover the importance of including Instructional Learning Formats in classroom activities
3. Identify key interactions within the Instructional Learning Formats Dimension
4. Describe ways and strategies to enhance student engagement in the classroom
5. Discuss how to implement the strategies presented at the training in their own classrooms
