Linking Scientific Inquiry to Daily Planning in VPK
About the Event
This training is the second installment in the “Linking the Florida Early Learning and Development Standards to Daily Planning Series''.
This presentation will continue to guide teachers on the lesson planning process while incorporating Science Inquiry standards. During early childhood years, science provides opportunities for rich learning and collaboration with peers, while fostering a sense of curiosity and motivation to learn. Teachers can expect to gain ideas and strategies on how to implement concepts in their lesson plans like exploration and discovery, life science, physical science, and environmental awareness.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the Scientific Inquiry Domain and it’s six components.
2. Interpret the Scientific Inquiry standards and apply them to lesson planning.
3. Discover lesson plan examples, strategies and best practices to apply in the classroom.
