Trauma Informed Care in the Classroom - Training Series
About the Event
Join us for our LIVE three session series on Trauma in the Classroom on ZOOM!
Session 1 will provide an overview of trauma and ACEs and their impact on child development. Participants will have an opportunity to self-reflect on their own potential trauma and ACEs. This session will be held on Tuesday, 8/3/2021.
In Session 2, participants will have an opportunity to examine how to create safe environments so children feel comfortable to learn and explore. We will also explore strategies for building trusting relationships with children as well as considerations for room design and materials. This session will be held on Tuesday, 8/10/2021.
In Session 3, participants will identify key resources in their community that can support trauma informed care. This session will discuss and provide coping skills for compassion fatigue. This session will be held on Tuesday, 8/17/2021.

All participants will receive an email reminder and the ZOOM link up to 24 hours before each session. At the end of the three part series, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
