Understanding Social Emotional Regulation in Young Children
About the Event
Please contact elcbtraining@elcbroward.org if you have questions or need assistance.
Many children who survive trauma may have a difficult time regulating their emotions. Additionally, their inability to self-regulate can present itself in the classroom or other learning setting as difficulty controlling their impulses; behaving aggressively toward oneself or others; misunderstanding or being unable to identify other people’s facial and body expressions; and feeling unsure about the security of their relationships. This training will focus on developing an understanding into the challenges that impact young children’s social emotional development to better support their ability to regulate their emotions in a nurturing, consistent, and predictable classroom
environment.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting on Zoom.
Presenter: Dr. Harleen Hutchinson, IMH-E
